Hi !  Welcome to the Hilltribe sounds music project.  I am Will Cannon, a young composer 

studying at Chetham's, the prestigious music school in Manchester.

 

This July 2024,  I am travelling to Chiang Mai, Thailand to explore the northern hills

and record the sounds and songs of the Hill Tribe peoples.

 

I also use a wheelchair. So along my journey I want to show that Thailand is open

 and welcoming to everyone.

 

At the end of my journey I plan to compose new pieces, electronic and orchestral  – 

a Hilltribe or Chiang Mai suite.
